Latest Rage 14" wide sand car or off road buggy steering rack, with a 5/8" x 36 spline shaft. Made in Taiwan, these products are a copy of the original USA made Stiletto product, but at less than half the price.
They are however very popular in lightweight sand rails, off road buggies and VW based off road buggies etc. If you have a heavier vehicle, we'd recommend a heavier duty type of rack or try to buy the genuine Stiletto product.
The rack measures 14" from eye to eye and weighs approximately 3.35lbs. The steering wheel will turn 1.5 turns lock to lock, so the pinion will travel 3/4 of a turn from center to lock and the rack itself travels 5" from lock to lock.
Distance between the 2 outside mounting hole centres is 2-1/4" and 1 3/4" between centres for the inner mounting holes. These require 4 3/8" bolts 1 1/4" long and the rod ends take 3/8" bolts 1 1/4" in length.

Some of the products we sell are very rarely requested and stocking them would be hard to justify, in fact most would agree foolish, but nevertheless, there are things we'd like to be able to offer even if the sales are scarce! Of course these things will be identified and would only be orderable on a non-returnable, 'Special Order' basis.
There may be some products that say they are 'Special Order' items, yet we say that we do have stock, this could be because they have not proved to be as popular as perhaps we thought they might be and the status would apply for items ordered after the actual stock has depleted.
On the upside, we have some improved distribution from the USA, with a consolidated Friday shipment each week, that comes into the UK the following week. This is however dependant on our sources having stock and then dispatching efficiently to our consolidation warehouse, before leaving for the UK.
So we therefore suggest to allow 7-14 days for most international products, including from the US and Europe, but we'll advise you of any issues upon receiving your order.
If these timescales don't meet with your requirements, perhaps don't place an order for them without speaking to us first? In some instances we can get items shipped with UPS, FedEx or DHL at high speed, usually 2-3 days, but additional shipping fees would apply, the margins only permit for a more economical replenishment schedule!
