Comet Industries 40 series driven units, hugely reliable and proven worldwide, these units feature a 5/8", 3/4" or 7/8" internal diameter, with a 3/16" width keyway, designed for use with Comet Industries symmetrical 7/8" width top drive belts.
Comet's rugged 40 series torque converters are manufactured in heavy walled, stamped steel, to withstand the extreme rigors of rough applications. 40D driven units have an outside diameter of 7 1/2" and with 40 series drivers, produce a 2.43:1 low and 1:1 high final drive ratio.
These driven units can be used in conjunction with the Comet 40 or 44C Magnum main clutch units, this setup will provide a long and reliable service life. Rated for use with 4 stroke engines upto 18hp, although many claim to have used them with motors with upto 24hp without any issues.
